I guess, this part of my requirements points me to the strech of coast between Santa Ponca and Illetes.

From the airport to Alcudia by public bus it takes around 1 hour 20 minutes. If for whatever reason you will be commuting weekly then I would prefer to stay in the south coast close to the Airport, and close to Palma de Mallorca where you can enjoy the best shopping, food scene, nightlife etc, even in winter.

The temperatures are more or less the same everywhere in Mallorca except in the Serra de Tramuntana area where the clima is a bit less hot.
